I ordered this lighter for my afternoon cigars. It was delivered quickly and it broke almost as quickly. It was a total waste of money.

Summary: "Overall mediocre quality"

First one I got wouldn't hold the flame - tried to adjust it with no succes - returned and got a new one. I don't know if it's normal but it always takes two-three tries before it lights up. I noticed that the spark engages and dies out before the gas is released- maybe a design flaw.

Summary: "A good "Back-Up" lighter and a great value"

When lighters were first banned from airline luggage I found myself in Miami with all kinds of great cigars around and no lighter (I have since purchased an FAA approved carrier for lighters). I love really nice lighters and have a small collection S.T. Duponts (some Duponts can cost thousands of dollars) but I didn't want to risk having one confiscated so I decided to purchase a NIBO for three reasons:

* It was inexpensive so if it was ceased by the TSA (which I believe stands for "Takes-Stuff-Away") it wouldn't be too much of a loss
* It has a nice, strong, triple flame
* It has a built-in punch

All in all I believe that I got my money's worth and then some. Yes, I too have encountered the problem with the cap (it won't stay down any more) and the punch is mediocre at best. However I like it as a nice, reliable "utility" lighter, one that I don't have to keep too close of an eye on. It still gives me a strong, dependable flame and it is easy to refill. I give it 3 stars for design and 5 stars for value so 4 stars all together.

Summary: "excellent lighter"

I bought this lighter for my dad and he loves it. He uses it on the beach so he doesn't have to bring his cutter and get that all sandy. The punch on the bottpm works excellent and the lighters 3 flames create a wonderfule burn on the cigar. Overall this is a great lighter for the value.

The lighter looked very nice and worked fine but in 2 weeks it couldn't hold the cap and I couldn't refill it.
